Easter Eggs...Ryantown and Heals

Not quite Easter yet...but look! My Easter Egg illustration is on the Heal's website.
And speaking of eggs...this weekend saw the arrival of the most amazing egg cups at Ryantown!

These two are my favourites!

Pure Colour

I love colour.
Bright, bold colour.
In blocks, In pattern.

My living room looks like a rainbow may have exploded in it.
A black leather sofa scares me...so mine is blue and covered in cushions by Donna Wilson and Maria Hatling.
Colour.

Birds, Birds, Birds

I have been making little birds- colourful and bright. They hang on little strings nestled on a pastel coloured keyboard.

These creative people have made some brilliant bird prints- i need much more wall space!
and wow- this Donna Wilson print brings on an instant smile :)

Donna Wilson love

I love wool (it's such a good feeling material), and as it's getting a bit chilly again I've found some of my Donna Wilson pieces and made a little snuggly corner on my sofa.
When I'm not at home I am wrapped up in her lovely scarf and mittens. I don't think there is a thing she has made that i have not liked...these SCP chairs would be great to curl up into...
I think I need this little mushroom and peanut for the sofa collection!

 lovely...x

V and A archive

This New Year I will try a lot harder to use this space, last year was full of excuses. I have started to make some little things and I will keep this updated more.
I took the photo above at the Victoria and Albert archive. A place I can only imagine is filled with treasure- you could spend days there. It's a tiny piece of fabric from a book of tiny fabric samples. It's a fair few decades old but the colours were still vivid and bright. Colourful little bubbles.
